Occurring just before the five year anniversary of the Royal Commission into Institutional Response to Child Sexual Abuse’s final report, this second edition of the NCSS incorporates the concept of safeguarding for adults at risk, which addresses findings of the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety and initial learnings from the Royal Commission into Violence, Abuse, Neglect and Exploitation of People with Disability.
